They will not work on some 7-8 year old plastic BLITZ cans. Gas, diesel or kerosene varieties. The lids unscrew perfectly, but they're too tall to wriggle out and just unscrew. I tried folding the seals in half and it seemed to work, but the seals deformed after seeing some gas and the cap came off and squirted everywhere. To fix this you can try putting a better/thicker shim or some shims under the floor.
