Exception. I could spend a lot of money on pre-built systems. But then I want to control my own critical currents and charge/discharge voltages for my system. I have chosen whether the inputs will be supplied with 120VAC from the shore and the second input will be either my generator or my inverter. I can even change the input to my converter to be ON ONLY when 120VAC is present so the converter doesn't drive the inverter into a useless current loop. I chose instant switching because I don't have a generator that needs to be started, power stabilized, and then switched. It has a reliable two relay setup. I love the versatility this automatic shifter offers.
