Review on Volkman Seed Featherglow Large Parrot by Tanya Reed

Volkman is well known for their parrot products and since I moved to buy all my bird products online (except for their staple fresh fruit and veg food) I have bought a bag of Volkman Seed Featherglow Large Parrot. I only use seeds once every few weeks and only 1 tablespoon at a time per bird as a treat so I've had this bag for a while now and it's still fresh and bug free. I didn't realize before I bought this mix that there were peanuts in it and I don't give peanuts to my birds so I had to scout everything out. I only use seeds for training, maybe 20 a week, so I couldn't just grab a scoop of seeds for my treat without stopping to pluck the seeds out of it. So one day I sat down and separated all the sunflower seeds. Only maybe 2/3 of what I started with is left. So unless you feed sunflower seeds regularly, it will be a very expensive seed mix. Of course I do exactly that with my personal birds and if you feed your birds peanuts and sunflower seeds then Volkman Featherglow will be of good help. It's your decision!
