This review will pretty much be my setup in combination with the dashboard. I hope this review helps you as I've spent a lot of time tweaking my setup. Things you need: Maestro idatalink with a dash for AC functions and a head unit of your choice. You can actually connect (or plug in a connector) to the 2 wires on the DLC to get some (non-AC) info from the ECM like quad tire pressure, AFR, IAT, etc. You need Flash idatalink for the functions to work properly (steering, air conditioning, etc.). The kit comes with different switch covers that can be changed to 2 (or 3?) buttons (the climate control button and rear window defroster cannot be changed). I strongly recommend using a flat controller as cables and modules are installed behind the controller (I have a Kenwood DMX7706S, although there are newer and better options). I installed Anderson connectors on my main power wires along with a signal wire quick connector on my subwoofer enclosure for easy removal (I've had no luck with hydraulic crimping tools due to the "wings" they sometimes cause). I connected the power cable to the fuse box and routed it through the recess in the fender (there is a cut-off nipple on the rubber sleeve on the right fender) (EARTHING IN THE TRUNK AREA!). As for subwoofer vibrations, which you're most likely to encounter when chasing bass, the noise isolation helps a lot. The actual source of my vibration was the first water-reflective strip just under the rear window, not the main seal that wraps around the entire perimeter (the foam tape on the trunklid is whey). When installing noise insulation, be sure to cut off excess material and don't leave it on top of the gasket or water will get into the trunk when it rains (I used lube and closed the trunk to find the cut points). ). I had a bad experience with the Infinity white noise amp I bought so I bought a Class D Kicker amp and was very happy with it. Please upgrade your door speakers, factory ones don't work, and you can only get really good sound with after-sale door speakers. They also sell pigtails to retain factory speaker wiring without OEM (FYI) wire splices. SAVE THIS PLASTIC CLIP when removing the radio cover! You can get lost in nothing if you sometimes remove the case. Summary: I have had very good experiences with this dashboard. It matches the factory color of my trim pieces, and I love the "auxiliary" switches that some of these touch buttons don't have. I hope this review has helped you in every way. If you doubt it, it's worth 120% of every penny. :) happy installs :)
