I love this tailor! for kitchen tools and gadgets

I am very happy with this cutter. I can cut a whole mountain of potatoes in a few minutes. The prep that used to take me an hour now takes 10 minutes including cleaning. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who eats a lot of french fries. A few more thoughts: It takes strength to push the potatoes through. I don't think it's an unreasonable amount, but it's not the same as slicing butter. It's something of an art, and once you get used to it, the potato run goes very quickly. It is heavy and well withstands the pressure of pushing regular potatoes. I don't know if this works for sweet potatoes, but I haven't tried to say personally. The suction cups are strong and work very well. Almost too bad - put the cutter lightly on the counter and it sticks! It's big and difficult to wash. But even so, the time saving is worth it, because washing only takes a few minutes. My complaints about the cutter are simply that it is a large, commercial cutter. It's designed the way it needs to be to get the job done. For someone who cuts up a few potatoes once a month, it probably isn't worth it. We make a dozen potatoes or more several times a week. If you're only expecting these few things, you'll wonder how you managed without them!

Pros
  • Cast iron body with stainless steel and aluminum parts
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
