Provides adequate heat without light

I bought this heating pad for a duck breeder. There was enough heat to keep the 3 x 6 foot incubator at 96 degrees Fahrenheit. We increased the light to lower the temperature as needed. We decided to use the light to heat a room in the house in winter because it works really well.
