I removed the marble tiles from our 1957 house. Although the vinyl floor had been removed before tiling, there was a lot of dried black putty on the floor. I tried a product from one of the big stores and spent a whole day trying to get it to work - and seriously injured my knees - to no avail. The Blue Bear 500MR started working immediately and I left it on for 4 hours. The results were impressive and I couldn't be happier. I just wish I could start with this and not waste my time on another product. Also, I'd like to thank the other reviewers who posted detailed instructions. which I found very helpful. Bottom line, this is exactly what you need when you want to remove mastic quickly, completely, and safely. Don't waste your time and don't cause frustration and trouble with other products.
