This product was easy to install - maybe even harder to get the old one out, but on my Silverado 2500HD with only a 15mm screw - it took 20 minutes. It doesn't have a safety latch on the bus mount, which is a plus since that part gets stuck and you end up cutting the cable like I did. I noticed that the point where the device meets the tire is not as strong as the original part, actually about 4 inches shorter. I don't suspect this will be a problem, just FYI as the details look different. I also recommend while you're there and need to pull out the "pipe" to get to the bolt - pull it out and leave it. It can get gravel in and make it difficult to connect - you just have to look under the truck to see the connection - and also forces you to insert the right end of the pole first! Wrenches or a Leatherman tool if your bars are past you!
