I don't know if I can honestly call this a mop. I don't think drying a wet stain would be too helpful. I think a light floor polisher would be a better description. Contrary to the product description, there is no backlight on this device. The included pads are very thick. They are like foamed microfiber so there is no risk of damaging the floors with it. I have a bamboo laminate and they slide smoothly over it. The lack of a cord is convenient to use as you don't have to worry about the cord ruining your freshly polished floor. The lack of a cable probably contributes to the fact that it rotates so slowly. By the way, it's going slowly. Seems noticeably slow. It also tends to move sideways like a crab. If you can picture a slow moving crab walking across your floor to clean it then you have a better imagination than me, but this is basically what it looks like. That doesn't mean it's bad, because it isn't. Just make sure you take your time cleaning and polishing the floor and you take your time because this "electric mop" will take your time. Patience is rewarded with clean, shiny floors.
