This was one of the easiest console repairs I've ever done and I've been repairing my own consoles since the PS1 days. A ton lighter than the 360. The only part of the whole repair that was painful was putting the tape back on the front of the console, but I quickly figured out how to do it. This repair was on the original Xbox One version, so I can't comment on the ease or compatibility with other Xbox One versions. If you have trouble getting the tape back onto the front, simply remove the top case from the front. Plate. Then insert the bottom of the front panel into the groove on the bottom panel first, and then attach the cable. Now just make sure when snapping the top panel into place that you click on the side of the front panel first. Then snap the top panel on the other side and you're done. I think the whole thing took about an hour, all because I forgot to reconnect the SATA and power cables to the drive, so I had to open the case again, lol.
