Toxic Chemicals

I've found that every time I pick up my knitting, after a few minutes I start sneezing and my eyes start to sting. I have no yarn allergy whatsoever, so I can only assume it's either leftovers from all the disinfectants currently in use, or the new chemicals used to treat the fibers before they are spun into yarn.
