I had to replace the spouts on my gas canisters to get rid of the hassle with those crazy eco-friendly spouts that come with all new canisters. It seemed like a reasonable option. Unfortunately they didn't succeed. Pour caps/plugs are difficult to attach to the ends of the spout and the ring holding them to the spout broke almost immediately. Since I keep the jars in the shed I could live with that. When I tried to release the gas it came out. Thinking maybe I hadn't tightened it enough, I twisted it tighter and the lug popped out from under the black yoke of the threaded cap and ripped the gasket. Overall very disappointing.
