Need a 1/2 drill bit and a hammer to insert into the vent, you won't insert it with your thumb. Included for various threads that fit threads, however, large pliers were needed to tighten it enough to avoid leaking. I also need a large pair of pliers to take it off so I just used the ones that came on the gas canister. tighten by hand, no leakage, much better than today's gas cartridges

The spouts themselves are ok but the locking rings are not made properly (too small for the brand of glass advertised) and the lids don't fit securely so they are useless and simply leave the spout open to spill or smear dirt. The only part that worked properly were the small vent inserts. Although it took some guesswork to figure out what size drill bit to use so they would fit securely and not leak. Overall poorly executed and basically a waste of money.

I bought this to replace old spouts that had cracks. They fit perfectly and came with vent holes which accelerated the flow of liquid running out of my jars. I drilled holes for the vents and followed the instructions. The vents clicked perfectly into place and stopped gurgling when I added fuel. Now the flow is much faster and smoother. I rarely take the time to review a product but this one is so bad I had to. I bought 6 in total, all of which ended up in the trash. I used yellow caps on my gas cartridges and they didn't fit well to begin with. The plastic at the base of the spout is too small to adequately seal the hole in the glass so they will leak if you don't install them properly. The Super Spout universal gas canister replacement nozzle will not fit the 5 gallon Scepter gas canister I own. The included cap is unthreaded to work with a 5 gallon Scepter gas canister. See the attached images for the type of gas cylinder and the difference in gas cylinder cap threads. Also, the supplied black gas bottle caps do not fit the supplied spouts.
