I have already tried to match the color to my sage carpet in the hallway, unfortunately this is a little different shade, but not by much, so I leave it as it is. I was surprised that it felt so soft and made my feet even happier. Now it's nice to walk down the hallway. It's fancy enough but not overly so, but I'd suggest getting carpet tape as it doesn't have a non-stick coating. The first day I put it in the hallway my cat ran and slid down the hallway on it and pinned it against the wall until I found tape for it. rzunimag. Also, you don't want to slide, and unfortunately with no real traction in the back, it really takes duct tape to do that. That's a great price for such a comfortable piece.
