I ordered this set of four door handles to slowly start replacing our current old style handles with these new and sharper handles. At the time of writing, a set of four pens is $57, which works out to about $14.25 per pen, which isn't too bad if you've been to a major hardware store recently. If you have ever installed a traditional door knob or doorknobs they are no different and very easy to install. Depending on your current grip, you may only need a Phillips screwdriver; That's it! The first door I installed the handle on required a little interior sanding with a tapered wood file to make it snug but not too tight. Once installed, the inside of the handle has a locking mechanism, but the outside does not. However, it has a tiny slot where you can easily insert a small coin or a flathead screwdriver and open the lock. This is the handle style I wanted, but I know it's not just a privacy handle. They look beautiful and are very easy to put on. Over time I will be ordering another box or two to replace all the handles in my house to match. Good stuff!
