I bought this system (and two other nodes) in August 2020 when my Apple Airport Extreme died. Since then, my internet has been unstable at best. For the first few months I blamed Spectrum (if you have a Spectrum cable you'll understand it's the worst). Lately the signal has gotten so bad that we downloaded less than 100mbps most nights and had no internet in the mornings which wasn't ideal as we are currently working from home. I paid for a Spectrum tech to come out (they said the problem wasn't their fault and this time they were right). Restart and deterioration afterwards. I called Linksys support under warranty. I spent a very frustrating 80 minutes manually rebooting and rebuilding the network, which was still uneven. I was told to monitor download speed for 24 hours and call back. At this point, we had to work in wired mode (the internet was constantly burning), as well as in hotspots on our phones while monitoring Linksys. Signal strength is everywhere but usually terrible. I called Linksys back and asked for a replacement parent node. The nice guy on the phone said he didn't approve but would have me call back within an hour to sort it out. I waited the rest of the night and nothing. The call finally rang the next evening, while I ate dinner. I asked if we could ask again so we made an appointment for Monday at 1pm. That call never came through. and then, I received an email saying my case was closed and they hope I'm happy with the decision. It's terrible. I have invested five hundred dollars in a completely useless system that has never worked properly and as it is covid and we are working from home I am now forced to find an alternative router setup - that will cost me another five hundred dollars. I work in IT, I know what I do with routers, and this Linksys situation was one of the worst I've had to go through. faulty hardware, a definite reluctance to send out replacements and truly terrible customer service tell me that anyone looking for a decent, stable home wireless router system should look elsewhere.
