In the beginning our birds were so afraid of it. Then they loved it so much that they started arguing about who could be in it. Then they got really comfortable and started doing things together that made us think we were going to have kids. But nothing really happened. So. We didn't actually buy it for the nest, we just thought it would be something sturdy for them to stand and play on. We have toys around him and they are jumping all over the place pretending to be silly. We are so glad we bought this. It was easy to assemble and feels solid. The fittings are of very good quality. Cleaning isn't that easy, but it's not the worst either. We would buy it again!
