I bought two "M" adapters for South Africa. It was the right choice for outlets, but only the best American outlet would work. The front socket (on both) has internal components that are not properly shaped to actually make contact with the plug. I think we could bend the crap out of the plugs on all of our devices to compensate, but that wouldn't live up to my expectations for the product. the space between the outlet and the plastic strip for the native ground connection (or wall). For example, the battery charger on a Nikon camera could only be hung there at an angle and barely held up enough to make electrical contact. And many duplex sockets in South Africa were oriented back-to-back, the only direction you couldn't plug anything else in if you were using the adapter's top plug. Very unpleasant. I want us to buy another brand. And having bought them a month before our trip as a precaution, they are non-returnable.
