I used them to make some cabinet doors. Worked great on pine. There were extra spacers in the kit, but I didn't need them. Used the bits right out of the box and was happy. Not sure why some had issues with them self destructing, maybe they were struggling to push them through hard wood. Or use to slow down the speed.
