Review on πŸ“Ά NETGEAR C7800 High-Speed Modem (Legacy Model) by Will Powers

What an upgrade from the Asus 68U router. how wow

This router/modem is huge. But it is good. It's big enough that you can place two 120mm fans on it to keep it freezing all the time. The status lights are bright. The antenna tips light up and the best part is this solved a big problem I was having. We have a 1200 square foot house, a cinder block (Florida) by the way, and we FINALLY have full bands in the 5GHz spectrum, yes, 5GHz. Everywhere in our house! No more internet outages, no more connection problems. When plugged in, it works like a STONE even as you walk around the house. We just got 400 megabits of internet from Spectrum, we needed an upgrade and went with this combo. We've only had it a few days, but I'm already very glad the Wi-Fi war is over. We bought an Asus tri-band router, forgot the model to solve our range problem (I would unplug Netflix in my room. 20ft from our router and the new router was just as awful as a 68U. This Nighthawk is no joke though! Highly recommend for a future router for a while! Update: So we came home from work last week and the router was VERY slow. I restarted it. Then I did a factory reset, it took about 4 hours to fix it.Ethernet Works fine with a hard cable when we were relaxing with the laptop but the WiFi seemed to be down.Even with the fans keeping it cool it was STILL down. This shouldn't have happened .Considering we paid more it $400 glitches like weak wi-fi and slow wi-fi speeds just shouldn't happen We watch YouTube, Netflix and Hulu a n and occasionally play our Switch online. We are not active users and, as we said, fans work for them 24 hours a day.
