Review on Allied Tools SwitchGrip 30582: Reliable Dual Action Plier Combo Pack for Versatile Use by Abdirahman Elmer

This tool is the same design as the old Radio Shack tool but differs in quality. The steel used and the manufacturing process lead to a reduction in tool quality. The larger one closes properly, and the smaller one with the wire cutters does not line up, making it almost impossible to cut the wire accurately with the wire cutters, and in some cases not at all. Larger cutters only cut at the very front of the cutting part, and even then it takes a lot more force than it should. The steel used for both is significantly inferior, causing them to wear out more quickly with use. I was looking for a cheap toolkit that could be included in a small backup/emergency toolkit (probably won't see much use). They might be acceptable for that, but I definitely wouldn't buy them if I figured I'd have to use them often.
