Nice, but not deep enough to grab onto

I bought this to replace an old gold one that was on our pocket door. I thought they were pretty much all the same, but after installing it we realized that it's not quite a recessed as our old one, therefore making it hard to get enough to grasp to easily pull this solid wood door. Might not be as big of a deal on a hollow core or lighter weight door, but it's made it more difficult on ours for sure. The product itself is nice quality, but just isn't working well for us.

Pros

Perfect fit, great price. Exactly what I ordered to replace my old brass ones.

Cons

The pull's 2-3/4" x 2-1/2" size may be too small or too large for certain door thicknesses or configurations, making installation difficult or impossible
