I bought this to replace an old gold one that was on our pocket door. I thought they were pretty much all the same, but after installing it we realized that it's not quite a recessed as our old one, therefore making it hard to get enough to grasp to easily pull this solid wood door. Might not be as big of a deal on a hollow core or lighter weight door, but it's made it more difficult on ours for sure. The product itself is nice quality, but just isn't working well for us.

I was a little nervous buying door hardware on this platform and half expected to get some knockoff garbage. This handle was significantly better priced than the alternatives I found and it's good quality. I would purchase again.

The width of the item itself (from side panel to side panel) is 1 3/8 inch. There is no way that this would wrap around our 1 3/8 door since the side panels need room also. The entire thing bowed and warped while trying to get it on.
