Review on Efficient Screw Removal Tool: ENGINEER PZ-60 Screw Removal Pliers with Extracting Serrated Jaws by Dangelo Toliver

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Best suited for pliers

I have a 2014 PZ-58. They have rescued me several times with the screws removed. After Knipex released the Dual Grip I no longer see an option to use the PZ-58. Despite its usefulness, it had an awkward nip problem. As with the Leatherman Wave, you have to consciously hold the rear triangle. Knipex eliminates this problem. Let's get to the PZ-60. I wanted something narrower for tight spaces and it should be fine for that. I expect the same clamping point, but since it's designed for smaller screws, I don't need a strong grip that can violently slip off the screw. Not quite a needle nose. But definitely better for tight spaces than PZ-58 and Knipex. Just another tool in your pocket. Engineer is identical to Vamplier and costs much better. They're both well made, but not from Knipex, so they shouldn't be in the same price range as the Vampires.

Pros
  • Also fits low profile (truss) screw heads
Cons
  • Quick instructions
