You get what you pay for

If you just want to clip a few small nails off of the project you're working on, this is a steal. However, I bought 6 of these and went through all 6 after cutting out about 150 brackets holding the wooden floor I salvaged. I went to Home Depot and paid $25 for a Bosch blade specifically designed for cutting nails and staples and was able to cut about 500 staples with it before some of the teeth started to break. So I went to Lowes where they had a $20 Dremel blade for cutting through nails and I was able to remove the remaining 300 square feet of hardwood with about 1000 staples and she cut them all with ease and no sign of wear. and tear. I reckon I could cut 800 more staples! Here's the price: Imperial is $5 per blade and will cut about 30 staples before all the teeth are pulled out. The cost of the surgery = 17 cents per brace! Bosch cost $25 a blade and cut 500 staples before the teeth started breaking. The cost of the operation = 5 cents per staple. The Dremel is $20 a blade, has cut 1000 staples and still has all of its teeth. Operating costs = 2 cents per brace. I estimate I can cut at least 800 more staples with this Dremel blade, bringing the running costs down to just over 1 cent per staple cut.
