I recently installed a portless mini split in my bonus room above the garage. One thing most do-it-yourself kits don't mention is that you'll need to evacuate the lines once they're done. This requires a vacuum pump. This set was a great option as I may use it on our vehicles in the future as well. I bought a 5/16 to 1/4 adapter for my particular device, but it fits this set perfectly. The leak detector after installation gave me the certainty that I had done everything right. The vacuuming didn't take long, about 15 minutes to ensure I got a solid -15. I had no issues with the gauge set being like the other ones in my kit. The carrying case and meter case are a big plus as things get lost without them. I hate using a tool and missing a small detail. Overall good value for money which I would recommend.
