Review on πŸ”Œ DROK Volt Converter Regulator: Adjustable 5A DC Voltage Module 8-35V to 1.5-24V 5V 12V by Lonnie Batch

Well designed DC regulator

This device works great but make sure you load it when adjusting the output. Otherwise, the output voltage will rise and then drop to 0. Also, make sure the input voltage is stable before trying to adjust. I've used it to regulate the voltage of multiple Zerolemon 18600 Li-ion batteries connected in series via their USB ports. I had a bad battery in my array, but this unit handled drastically fluctuating voltages quite well (+/- 5 volts, 15 volts max). Once I identified the bad battery and replaced it, everything went smoothly. However, it's nice to know that it can handle fluctuating input voltages. This feature can be useful for solar panels. If the input voltage drops below 8 volts, the device stops generating electricity. The dial is a little tricky because its range is limitless. I could spin the disc indefinitely, but only a certain area would actually regulate the tension. The limits should be on the dial and the voltages should be listed around the dial, eliminating the need for multimeters. On the other hand, since the accuracy of a mechanical dial can vary, it might be better to leave the design as is so that checking with a multimeter is enforced and customers don't fry their devices. I have only tested this device with 6v and 12v outputs and it worked fantastic. I look forward to working with DROK electronics.
