Review on JCB - Versatile 8-Piece Oscillating Multi-Tool Blade Set for Wood & Metal, Fits Other Major Brands, Includes End Cut & Semi Circle Tool Blades by Sean House

Narrow blades work well for cutting square holes for high quality key switches.

As a hobby, I do a lot of solar energy and often have to install switches and multimeters in panels and power supplies. Square holes are required for mounting. Switches tend to be small and the blade of a standard width oscillating tool is too wide for cutting. This is where the kit comes into play. It has two narrow blades that can be used to cut rectangular holes for key switches. I tested one of the narrow blades by cutting a rectangular hole in a 3/8" piece of plywood (see photo). ). I worked along each line but stayed about 1/8" from the corners. I finished cutting the corners with a hacksaw. The switch fits the hole perfectly. Love the storage box these blades came in, though I have found that they do not stay locked when you open the sheath. The saw teeth on these blades are sharp and cut quickly (see photo). I have other JCB saw blades and have always been satisfied with their premium quality. This set of blades is not Exception I recommend it.
