We purchased a SublimeWare International Travel Power Adapter with 4 USB ports for our European river cruise. It included all the adapters we needed for the countries we traveled to and the 4 USB ports allowed us to reduce the amount of chargers we carry around. BENEFITS • Well designed and built - small and light weight • Easy to use, reliable pin locking mechanism. to switch between adapter modes • Features four (4) Smart USB ports -- 2 x 2.4A/2 x 2.1A at 3500mA • No more carrying and losing multiple adapters • Comes with a small zippered pouch for Storage and Travel CONS • Adapter will NOT connect the ground wire of the connected devices to the ground in the wall outlet. This wasn't a problem for us as the chargers our devices use don't require grounding. Most of our devices use USB ports. • Some complain that the adapter falls out of the socket when using the US plug. We haven't had this problem, but we'll see how it can be a problem. We use a small plug, so the adapter does not support heavy chargers. It also provides access to more outlets. • Please note that this is an AC adapter, not an AC converter. The adapter transmits electricity directly from the socket to your device. There is no "step down" function to take 220v and step down to 110v. As others have said; Plug it into a 120V outlet and get 120V out. In fact, this isn't a negative - just something to consider before purchasing this device. I would recommend this adapter to anyone looking for a small and easy to use device for traveling abroad or to the US. This adapter is smaller than some of the older USB wall chargers we carried. Anytime we can get a smaller multitasking item that cuts down on packing for our travels, that's a huge plus!
