I contacted Kordon before purchasing to see if AmQuel could be used to scavenge chloramines and chlorine when watering house plants. They declined to comment as they specialize in aquatic animal and plant safety, but so far I'm very happy with using it on my bonsai, violets and other house plants showing absolutely no ill effects after a month of use. I use a 3mL glass pipette to cure the water by adding 10 drops per gallon (as directed in the directions) and the chlorine smell goes away immediately when AmQuel is added. While I don't mind the hardness of our water, chlorine or chloramines are definitely bad for plants and this product seems to solve that problem. EDIT: January 13th, 2018 I can say with certainty that this is 100% safe for houseplants.
