My 2001 7.3L PowerStroke has 213,000 miles with the stock starter. took this device because of the larger engine, but it turned out to be a mistake. The starter went right in, but the battery cable had to be routed around the larger starter and was 1/2 inch shorter. It took me over an hour to figure out a way to get it working. I ended up twisting the battery cable with pliers. No room for a socket on the top (hidden) mounting screw, used a wrench. Magnet nuts are a different size than the original starter. But at the end of the day it started on every try since it was installed. If it works again I would buy a smaller starter.
