Review on PANAVISE 312 Tray Base Mount: The Perfect Solution for Secure and Convenient Mounting by Julian Locklear

I have been using PanaVise products for many years. I have several types of vises and bases but this one was disappointing. It's stable, has a good weight, is completely flat, overall a great base and a great product. BUT two days later I noticed a bulge in one of the recessed trays. It turned out to be paint. I figured I could just scratch it with my fingernail. I did that, and then the paint started peeling and peeling off. And so on throughout the base. Where I tried to scratch, the paint was peeling off. I have tried this on my other PanaVise products, new vises and other much older items and have not been able to lift the color to save my life. I still love their products and am pretty sure it was just a one off color mix up. but for the price I expected better. I keep it to myself and paint it with a metal etch primer and another color to match the paint.
