I'm satisfied - no complaints

Since it turned out that Revain groups reviews of similar products, I first realize that I am writing a review of Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 WiFi cable modem with dual phone line support. I paid Revane $279.99. Apparently there are other models of "AC1900" routers and this is not one of them. I bought it to replace a wireless cable modem that I rented to Comcast for $10 a month. Now it looks like it will be 28 months before I see a return on investment. It's okay if my new modem keeps working for the next 2+ years. Setup was easy and once I set my own SSID and password I called Comcast. The nice lady from Comcast/Xfinity, who spoke almost perfect English, got the internet and voice phone up and running fairly easily - she had to send a few beeps to the modem, but it eventually answered and has been working fine ever since. I now have TWO WiFi connections in my house - one with a 2.4GHz signal like I had with my Comcast provided modem and a new 5.0GHz signal. It turned out that some of my WiFi devices (printers, Oppo BluRay) needed the old 2.4GHz signal, while others (iPhone, Apple TV and even an older Android Nexus tablet running Nougat) needed the faster 5, 0 GHz signal required. I've only been using my new cable modem for about a week, so far no complaints. Relatively easy setup, lower monthly Comcast bill. I am happy.

Pros
  • Not cheap, but decent
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something
