Review on AUTOKAY Carburetor Overhaul Stratton Vertical by Preston Molden

This kit has allowed me to rebuild most carburetors on my lawn tractor, but some parts did not fit my carburetor even though it was listed as compatible. All large spacers fit perfectly and are a very good replacement for the original units. Unfortunately a few minor spacers and a float needle valve were not of the same quality as the original units and did not fit properly. The result was a leaking carburetor and I had to resort to old gaskets to get the block working again. I ended up with a working carburetor and tractor but due to quality issues with some parts I had to rebuild the unit twice and use some of the original gaskets and a float needle valve. I feel the repair kit was worth the money I paid for it, but I would certainly pay a lot more to make sure all the seals fit and the float needle is a better quality. If all parts matched my carburetor and were all the same quality as those that actually fit, then this kit would get 5 stars. Unfortunately the best I can do is 4 stars and a lot of this rating is because the parts that worked are very well priced. I would be willing to pay more for a higher quality kit with better fitting smaller gaskets and a needle float valve; but I can't really complain because I have a working carburetor for very little money.
