The printed fabric is too light for a seamless end product

The set is good and the pattern is cute. However, I bought the set because I want to make stockings for my sons out of it. But when I started using pre-printed fabric, the print on it became so light you could see it through the stitching. Also, there are solid white areas indicating no flash where grid lines are visible. I had to buy a blank sheet of fabric because I knew that if I continued to use pre-printed fabric I would end up regretting using pre-printed fabric. If the pre-printed fabric was lighter and didn't bleed through white areas, that would probably be ideal.
