What I got wasn't horsehair and I'll deduct a star for that. I needed horsehair to suck my knick-knacks, and since the picture was horsehair, I expected that too. It goes well with my vacuum tube in the wind tunnel. I need to figure out how to tie it somehow as it doesn't fit in the spot for the brush that I lost because of this machine. Although it's not a mistake. It's well built. The black plastic bristles are ok but I didn't use them for what I bought them for. He did a good job with an old oak sliding table that we bought used from a guy who didn't know how to dust. I don't know if he even had a vacuum, but he had a nice and very neat Honda self-propelled lawnmower and his grass was good. The bristles were stiff enough to dust the crevices and moldings in the top of the roll and the raised panels. I didn't even have to get out my old toothbrush. I bought another one from someone else with horsehair bristles for knick knacks.
