I'm breeding quail and it's too big for them but they seem to be getting some. Squid bones on the other hand are like treats, just buy them in bulk from another website (probably from Vietnam or similar places) compared to the commercial products sold here for pet parrots. Either way it works and would be great for a chicken. Well if I had chickens I would buy a 20 pound packet or more at the pet food store for the same price not 5 pounds. But as I have quail and they don't need sand, just calcium (their food crumbles a bit) I found it to be a good size and price - especially in the early stages of Covid.
