After years of trying to solder a joint, I've upgraded my gear from a $20 kit you can get at hardware stores to a Hakko kit upgraded. But I still didn't change my solder until a friend who works in electronics told me to get this coil. Although the price is high, if you don't solder often, believe me, it's worth 100 times more. I went from barely being able to connect to feeling like a pro. I salvaged a melted engine wiring harness that I had to cut off and reuse almost every connector because it was missing. After soldering at least 200 wires of 14 to 20 AWG. I have more than 3/4 of this roll left. I'm sure it will serve me for at least a few more years. Be sure to protect yourself from fumes. Either ventilate well, or be stupid like me and hold your breath for minor repairs.
