for. The spacers for the rail studs are 1" long with the front of the door about 1-3/8" from the front of the cabinet. If you use 3/4 inch thick doors, you have 5/8 inch of space between the cabinet and the back of the door, which is quite a lot. I made my doors 1-1/4" thick so there is much less space between the closet and the door. Since the front of my closet is flat, I want to use U-shaped rails at the bottom. I cut a slot along the bottom of the doors, but the U-rails are about 1-1/16" deep on the lowest setting. This requires the slot to be very close to the front of the door, with a minimum gauge of timber. These tracks appear to be designed for full size doors, although this kit is for "mini" barn doors. new screw holes in the guides that came with the kit. The overall look of the kit looks good and rolls smoothly and quietly on the track.
