Review on Convenient Storage Solution: Camp Chef Griddle Bag for SG100 by Matt Tbone

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Three burner pan bag fits but could be a lot better

If you're looking for something to cover the three burner pan used on Camp Chef stovetops this will do just fine. The material is the same as other Camp Chef bags and the zipper is of good quality. My problem is related to the design of the bag. The straps that make up the handles wrap around the bag and ensure that the bag does not fall apart completely when carried. This could be improved if they redesign the bag to include a shoulder strap. The three-burner pan is heavier (or at least feels heavier) than my three-burner stove, and a shoulder strap would have made it easier to carry. Also, given the weight of the pan, they should have chosen a heavier material. The material used works and is adequate, but given the weight and size of the pan, the material will wear out with regular use of the pan and bag. As for the size of the bag, the frying pan fits in and out easily once it's "in" the way it's supposed to be. (This goes for every Camp Chef bag I own.) However, you don't really have much of a choice if you want something like this for your skillet, especially a 3-burner skillet. As far as I can tell there are no competing products on the market so it's a take or leave deal. I think overall it's worth the money, but don't expect more than a just-sufficient item. While other bags are largely made in exactly the same way, the overall design and materials of the bag should reflect this as this bag contains something that is typically larger and heavier than many (but perhaps not all) other Camp Chef items.
