I have used other tensioners and this is by far the best I have used. The materials used are durable and the design makes perfect sense. The only negative I can think of, and it's minor, is that you have to move the adjuster down when you unbuckle your seat belt or it will hold it in place and sometimes the seat belt will fall out of the car and stay put when buckled hang it door. I forgot about that a few times and didn't realize it was hanging out the door when I closed it. This is an easy fix - I just have to remember to slide it down when I turn the car off. My husband gets annoyed when he drives my car but he doesn't drive it very often so you just have to remind him or he might not use it. The product does exactly what it promises.
