
Therefore the cutting edge does not follow the edge exactly. So if I use a sharp point to pierce a wall and move it to cut, I have to keep lengthening the piece to get more cut. In places with piping, air ducts and studs this means you have to pull the bit out a bit to avoid damaging it, resulting in the top section cutting and the bottom section failing to cut, effectively burning through friction, VERY VERY slowly. If the cutting edge reached the blade tip I'd easily give it 5 stars, but it seems like an odd choice. This is the only drywall cutter I could find, so I have no idea what's going on. I was so hesitant to buy a drywall cutting tool just for small jobs and it turned out to be a waste of time as I used an engineering scale with a box cutter to do the rest of the job.
