It's not that I don't like this hub, it just isn't fast. I connect a lot of hard drives to my computer because I edit videos and store a lot of files on them. I noticed my car slow down dramatically and couldn't figure out why. Weeks went by while I pulled my hair out before it dawned on me that it might be a problem with the hub. I used DiskSpeedTest to test all drives connected to this hub. the maximum read/write speed was 39 MB/s. Then I connected the same drives to my other hub and the read/write speed reached 176MB/s. I was shocked. I've tried every drive and no drive could top 41MB/s on this thing, but EVERY drive was over 100 on a different hub depending on its age. There was no information about read/write speeds on this hub, they just said fast. Well, if your computer is slow or not responding, you can check if it is that slow after removing this hub. I think for day to day work like reading and writing word files etc this will work but if you do any kind of editing, photoshop or whatever this is NOT the center for you. . I know that all my backup drives are connected to it and the primary drives are connected to a plugable hub and my backups run at night so I don't notice any slowdown.
