I used them to colorize a Helly plate and they worked fine. I've even had kids use them and they did great. I used acrylic paint and although the paint had dried on them they were fairly easy to clean. A baby wipe she wiped lightly while the paint was still wet. There's even a little splash guard that worked great! I haven't used them long so I can't comment on their durability but I think they will be ok. The roller part is a bit more difficult than the speedball which is a bit more flexible. And I've used stencils on my jelly plates. In general very satisfied.
