My trailer had about 5 current limiters (circuit breakers) like this one. But. The master switch that went from the trailer's circuit (13.7 volts) to the batteries on the trailer's "tongue" WILL NOT GET power to the batteries if they got very low! Apparently, even though the breakers were 50 amps, the dead batteries combined with the trailer converter box used OVER 50 amps to stay charged? I don't know but. The existing switch would trip and give no power to the batteries! So. I bought it. Two of them here are about as cheap as just ONE of the other sellers here at Revain. So I bought these 2 packs. Big! I now have a great replacement (same size, same shape, exact same mounting holes, exact same red rubber cap, same size terminal studs and nuts) and. I have a replacement part for the same price as ONE from other sellers! I tested these two. I set them to 14 volts and increased the current. At exactly 49 amps, each of them "burst" and stopped all current. Then. It only took about 20 seconds to cool down and they both restarted and started flowing power again. As I said, these two served their purpose and the one I used fitted the trailer frame perfectly, as did the other one that was replaced. In my case they worked great. You can use them in other situations, installations. wherever you need a 50 amp current limiter, ie SELF (automatic) reset as soon as the current falls below 50 amps. He works with heat. More than 50 amperes heat up the inner bimetallic contacts and burst. After cooling, it freezes, you don't have to do anything!
