Bargain but rusts easily

My husband and I love the cute whistling sound when it gets hot. The design is very elegant and beautiful. We have an electric stove, so we keep it on medium to boil water, not higher. We've bought the exact same one before and it rusted pretty quickly. My advice? Simply drain after use or excess water - dry if necessary to prevent rusting. If rust appears on it, especially around the rim of the kettle, use baking soda. I've read that mixing a small amount of water with baking soda to make a paste is great for smoothing out rust stains. Leave the paste on the grate for an hour, then wipe it off. just my thoughts
