Well built. Nice, aggressive knurling. Very strong and sharp glass breaker. But because the glass breaker is so sharp, it’ll stab you in your thumb if you’re using a thumb reinforced ice pick grip. You can put your thumb over the pen part and use the glass breaker as the striking surface. That would be less uncomfortable. The pocket clip sticks out about a 1/4” so you can probably rest your thumb there. As a pen it’s like every other tactical pen. It works but you probably wouldn’t want to do a lot of writing with it. It’s top heavy and the fluted part is slippery and fairly large diameter. But for jotting stuff down seems fine for that. I haven’t had it very long so can’t speak about the durability of the pen part but I’m pretty sure the tube will last forever.
