There is a construction error. The block must fold down far enough to allow access to the rear compartment of the vehicle. The instructions state that the device can be folded "on the floor". However, the device cannot be folded more than 20 degrees from the vertical. The reason is that the pivot hole point at the base of the vertical support is too high and the vertical support is not rounded. This angle prevents the axis from rotating more than 20 degrees. I tried filing the edge a bit to give it more angle of movement, but the metal is very thick so it will take some time to fully release the angle to allow full movement.
