This is a really good set for a small price! Hooks come in a variety of sizes, from a tiny lace hook to a large, bulky twine hook - they all come in handy! The hooks feel solid, the handles are "ergonomic", the yarn slides over the ends of the hook without snagging or snagging, and the hook size feels accurate. To me they seem comparable to the "big brand" hooks you find at a craft store. Other items in the set are good too - love the clasps! They also feel solid, like they won't snap in half with light pressure. I don't use a stitch gauge so I can't comment on its quality - I know another reviewer had some issues with its quality and I flipped mine around a bit and tested it and it seemed fine to me but I really need to give it a try to see how he holds up. A tube of tapestry needles is good, I always lose mine. And the little zippered pouch is beautifully made and holds your essentials well or can easily be repurposed for pens, cosmetics or whatever else you can think of. All in all a great price!
