
I'm using this switch to run a bathroom exhaust fan. I tried two timers previously and neither worked. It turns out that if the switch doesn't provide a neutral wire then there is a minimum current that has to run through the switch in order to run the timer, usually about 40w.So - if your switch isn't working or it cycles on/off constantly then you need a switch with a neutral wire like this one.
